I have three dearly loved cats who have lived with me for many years, whose names are Roddy, Megan and Benji. As a volunteer at a local cat rescue and rehoming charity, I wanted to offer a home to one of the residents, Alice. I was worried, however, that Roddy would not accept her as he usually has difficulty accepting any cats other than his existing companions.
I therefore approached Vicky Alhadeff, whose experience with cats and dogs and whose credentials in feline and canine behaviour are well known, to ask for her advice. She suggested a number of techniques which would enable Alice to feel comfortable when introduced into our home, while minimising any likelihood of Roddy and friends feeling threatened.
Vicky came to our home on the day Alice arrived, to help with her introduction. Her positivity and clear love of, and respect for, all animals is very clear to see and everything she suggested, and which I put into practice, has meant that the whole introductory process has worked better than I could have imagined. During the 3 1/2 weeks Alice has been here, there has been no aggression from anyone, and the atmosphere has been, and remains, calm. Thanks a zillion Vicky!

Hi there Vicky
Thanks so much for your concern and emails.
In terms of his behavior, he really has become the cat that we knew he
was and he regularly plays and cuddles. The soiling of the bed has stopped and is generally as much happier cat now!
Many thanks again for all your advice, I know we both (and Pushkins) are very happy that we sought you out and will recommend your services too!
Russ, Luke and Pushkins

So the good news is so far we haven’t had any weeing even though it’s been pouring with rain outside! Charko roams around the house more and seems a little more active than usual and Ginjgo talks even more! Which isn’t bad for two weeks of change!
Thanks Vicky, Nicole.

There has been a great improvement and all the cats are much happier and have been getting on much better. Albert seems a lot happier and relaxed.
So a very big thank you!
Diane

The cats seem to be doing great. The fighting between them is greatly reduced, to the point where I would say it might have stopped. In addition we caught India giving McGee a really good wash, licking him all over as if there wasn’t a problem between the two of them at all. She’s also lying down in different areas of the house such as the middle of the bedroom floor. She’s never behaved in such a way, and we’re interpreting it as that she must be much more comfortable in the house and not having to hide away in a ‘safe place’. She’s also playing much more, with food and toys.
Thank you so much. Paul.

Lilly is doing very well. No more peeing on the carpet.
I have had a guest staying for the last 5 days, and Lilly was with us most of the time. No hiding away. She really does seem very happy.
Thank you for your help. Trish

Thanks Vicky, it's good to hear you've worked your magic once more!
Regards, Clare
